About us

With our name, Victory Airfield acknowledges the heritage and advances of military aviation.

Owner Tim Barkwell has long held an interest in aviation. A helicopter pilot since 2011, he flies a Robinson R22 and purchased the former Magnetawan Airfield in 2013 to pursue his passion.

Victory Airfield is open year-round to serve both pilots and snowmobile enthusiasts. Centrally located between Huntsville, North Bay and Parry Sound, it’s an ideal landing spot for north Muskoka and Almaguin cottagers and day-trippers from across central Ontario.

In winter months, one runway remains groomed for aircraft equipped with skis. The adjacent snowmobile trail C104D is groomed right on to the property and the airfield serves as the venue for the popular Drag at the Mag snowmobile races.

Victory Airfield continues to expand and welcomes partnership proposals for both aviation and events.
